Common questions
Do I need to be a licensed loan officer?
Yes. You'll apply for an individual NMLS loan originator license. Once licensed, you're partnered with an experienced internal Loan Officer who works the file through processing and closing alongside you.
Is the income capped?
No. Real's standard revenue share program stops paying out once an agent hits their annual cap. Real Originate doesn't work that way — there's no limit on how many loans, or how much volume, you can earn override income from.
How does it get paid out?
As a W-2 employee of One Real Mortgage, separate from your 1099 agent income at Real. It shows up on its own tax document. Payments are processed on the First and the Fifteenth of each month.
Are there other ways to earn through this program?
Real Originate also offers stock award paths: a $15,000 RSU award for closing $20M in volume through One Real Mortgage, and a $500 RSU award when someone you sponsor closes a transaction within their first 90 days.
Can I co-sponsor an agent with someone else?
Not yet. One Real Mortgage is working through the compliance for this, and if it is possible - there is a future where co-sponsorship will exist!
